This is the best rehabilitation centre in Ontario, hands down. The counselors, psychotherapists, nurses, doctors, chefs and general staff are all amazing, kind, compassionate human beings, most of whom have lived our experiences. The facilities are awesome, food is top class, lots of classes, seminars and activities including a recreational centre, Yoga, Reiki, gym, art. Very clean and the beds are very comfortable. Free laundry. A very safe space, physically, gender friendly, mentally and spiritually. It is also very competitive and high value compared to its competitors. One of its competitors is based in the U.S. and is buying up Canadian rehab and detox centres, which I find morally and ethically wrong. I have been to A.R.T. on more than one occasion so I know a lot of its history of saving lives. Recovery is a marathon, not a sprint. You have to want to recover. You cannot be a spectator. You have to participate if you really want a better life. Bryan P

An incredible experience to say the least. I made connections with clients that I’m sure will be lifelong friends and where better to find a support group of friends than a place for recovery.
I’m struggling to find any areas that I think could use improvement. The food is not only outstanding, but it’s around the clock and for someone like myself who likes to eat at all hours of the day or night, I never went hungry thanks to soup and salad bar. The chefs are so accommodating not only to restrictions, but even to one’s personal preferences.
The drs and nurses that give around the clock care with a warm smile every time helped me feel like I wasn’t a burden.
The cleaning staff are some of the kindest people I’ve met that went above and beyond on a daily basis.
The students in placement conduct themselves in such a manner that I often confused them with actual councillors.
And the management and councillors could simply not do enough to make my life better. I finally was made to feel like I have purpose.
I suppose the one area I feel could use improvement is perhaps that there is only one ART treatment center (that I’m aware of)
where this city would benefit by more treatment centres with the kind of knowledge wisdom that ART offers.
What I appreciate the most I think is that the majority of staff ( councillors and students) were once where I am now. They share real experiences that I can relate to.
If I could give a higher than 5 star rating , I would, and I am
Simply put, PLEASE see ART and get the help you deserve

To Addiction Rehab Toronto,
Hi, Im Tony an addict and alcoholic. I came to ART for the first time on May 9th 2025 and stayed for the 45 day program. My experience from the min the door opened to the min the door closed behind me, was one of the best life changing opportunities for me. From staff to peers was a feeling of love that ive haven't felt in a vary long time. Once I was cleared from detox and moved to a permanent room for my I stay, Gill one of the consolers said TONY YOUR BED IS READY!. That made me feel safe, loved and right at home. Thank You Gill I will never forget that moment. My Journey has led me to a second stay at ART due to the unfortunate lack of commitment on my behalf on the outside. I decided to come back for a two week detox stay on Friday February 13th 2026. Once again welcomed with open arms. This time I kepted more of an open mind and really worked the program to the best of my ability. My consoler Ali really made it easy for me to talk about my personal issues. A special thank You to Allan for accommodating me with an extra few days as I had no where to go at the time of my set discharge date. To the entire staff from owner, consolers, chefs, nursing, maintenance and the house cleaning staff and the new connections i made with peers. You have made this stay extremely easy and comforting. Im ready to move on to my next chapter on March 2nd, 2026. GOD BLESS YOU ALL 🙏❤️
Ps......I highly recommend ART if your in the need of help due to any addiction.
IM FOREVER GREATFUL,
ART I LOVE YOU,
ETERNALLY IN MY HEART,

I can’t thank ART enough for what they have done for my recovery. It’s a great facility with amazing counseling and therapy. Honestly I can’t complain about anything. I’ve met amazing people including peers and counsellors and felt so safe and heard. Anyone who gets a chance to visit this place will definitely be on their way to recovery.

I can not begin to express how much this rehab has helped me become the man that I had lost. It's put me in a spot where I begin to live my life again. 31 years of addiction has ruined my life to the point when my first day at A.R.T. didn't see a purpose in living anymore. And here I type out my heart to all the suffering addicts..... Please please please give yourself a chance. Don't be afraid to seek help and treatment. The counselors are so diverse making it impossible not to connect in some way or the other. Give it a chance. You won't regret it. Josh, Lee, Donavan and all the counselors saved my LIFE. Shout out Jimmy, Ali and Maggie. Even the student had a part. I love you all
